Summit County Republican Party LINCOLN DAY

The Summit County Lincoln Day Dinner and celebration will never be the same after the tremendous success of the May 17th 92nd Annual Lincoln Day Dinner held at the beautiful Quaker Square Catering Event Center in downtown Akron. With a sold out audience of over six hundred people, the Northcoast Big Band were honored to bring the Big Band sounds to this event.

As guests, dignitaries and featured Guest Speaker VIVEK RAMASWAMY arrived, the band provided over an hour of professionally performed Big Band favorites, allowing guests to relax and converse before the official program began. Performing the ever recognizable tunes like Stardust, Moonlight Serenade, Unforgettable, Autumn Leaves and As Time Goes By connected beautifully with all the guests entering the Grand Ballroom, finding their assigned table and greeting the guest speakers.
The band’s Manager-Producer Karl Dustman, worked closely early-on with the event hosting RNC management team, making certain the music would “match the event and audience” perfectly. From providing a magical continuous hour of recognizable all American standards during the dinner segment,…. to pulling out all the musical-stops after the speakers had completed their presentations. The ever popular Glenn Miller standard, String of Pearls ignited the music and dancing.
Immediately following was the Hollywood style elegant and elaborate synchronization of guest speakers, each recognized with a musical introduction for each of the head table dignitaries representing all segments of the Summit County RNC connection. “Hail the Gangs All Here” and “Happy Days are Here Again”…were dominant themes, but the first few notes of “Hang on Sloopy” announced the entrance of the Keynote Speaker and Candidatefor Ohio Governor, Vivek Ramaswamy to a complete audience standing ovation
